オーストラリアアンバサダー研修の別プログラム(短期留学)として、現在、昌平高校から3名の生徒が、ニューサウスウェールズ州オルベリーにある姉妹校 The Scots School Albury を訪問しています。3名は現地の家庭にホームステイしながら学校生活を送り、授業への参加やホストファミリーとの交流を通して、オーストラリアの文化や生活を肌で感じています。少しずつ現地での生活にも慣れ、それぞれに新しい発見や気づきが生まれているようです。今回は、参加生徒の一人が最初の1週間を振り返ったレポートをご紹介します。

I’d like to talk about my host family.

They took me skiing and showed me around the local supermarkets. Everything was a new experience for me, and since I love discovering new things, I had an amazing time. We also shared our cultures by watching Japanese movies together and talking about our different customs.

Living in Australia has made me realize that I have my own culture, language, and values. It has given me the chance to reflect on things I used to take for granted.

A week has already passed, and I’m gradually getting used to life here. From now on, I want to challenge myself even more, learn from my mistakes, and keep growing!
